Hunting a wolf with a golden eagle
Hunting with a golden eagle has ancient roots. Hunting art, in which the leading role is played by a keen and strong bird, and the hunter (berkutchi) serves only as an assistant, is traditional in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia. With trained golden eagles, they hunt even wolves. Having found a wolf, the berkutchi releases the winged hunter. The bird rises to a great height, sees the prey and falls down rapidly, straight to the wolf. When the hunter arrives at the scene of the battle, they see the defeated enemy with a golden eagle proudly perched on its back. All that remains is to catch the beast.
